Perri and Lulu are excited to announce that Carla McConnell has come on board as co -producer for their new feature TOOK which is currently in pre-production. Carla is a fantastic production manager as well and we look forward to working with her. The girls are thrilled to have UK Producer/director/actor Stuart Brennan as their leading man and Director as well as coming on board as producer. Stuart is a BAFTA award winning actor and has been writing and producing and directing his own works since 2001. He's a trail blazer when it comes to movie making, especially in the Thriller Horror genre, so we are thrilled to have such experienced hands on our first feature. Its going to be a wild ride. Keep watching this space for upcoming casting announcements and filming details. It's all happening in 2018.

Bored with her sell-out West End shows, her BBC sitcom and
performing for Madonna, SuperGirly has finally returned home to give pop music the lashing it truly deserves! Rivetingly merciless, no star is safe from the killer vocals, outrageous lyrics and razor sharp wit that will make this Princess of Pop the must see act of 2014! Joined by her personal slave Bradley Cooper (or possibly three-time Green Room Award-nominee Lyall Brooks), SuperGirly: Return of the Pop Princess is a two hour, two-act, all-out assault on the world of pop that will have you screaming, laughing and wincing all at the same time! "I wish we could sing your lyrics instead of ours." - Mel C, The Spice Girls "Make sure there’s plenty of swearing, I only hired you for your filth." - Sir Elton John "A pop epiphany." - The Guardian "Rude, crude and wickedly funny."- Sunday Times, UK "Cruel perfection. Britney may never forgive her." - Times Metro BUY TICKETS Chapel off Chapel 28 May – 8 June Preview Tuesday 27 May Tuesday –- Saturday 8pm Saturday & Sunday Matinee 4pm $39 Full, $30 Concession, $25 Preview (+ Transaction Fee) As the first production from Forward Roll Productions, I think it's worth documenting how it began. So here's the story from the beautiful creator, Lulu McClatchy " The Happiness, The Heartache was born out of a love of daytime soap operas pure and simple. I loved the over the top storylines and dramatic acting style. The fact that no story was too crazy and no costume gaudy enough. The Happiness, The Heartache was first performed on stage in 1996 by my sister' s graduating class from The National Theatre Drama School, that original production included current cast members Michelle McClatchy and Lawrence Mooney. See if you can spot them.
After the show people were asking what happened next and wanted to know how it ended. They were hooked so I always knew I had to do something else with it. Fast-forward to 2010, Arna came to me and suggested it was time. I agreed it had to be done, so I did a re-write and decided that it needed to be a TV series, the comedy comes through naturally because it’s set in the late 1980’s, it doesn’t need to be performed as a comedy for it to get laughs, the laughs are in the storylines and characterisations. If you are a soap addict like me, you will probably recognise who I have modeled the characters on, if not you will definitely recognise the formula of the soap, explaining the storylines in one sentence of dialogue (just in case you missed an episode), the characters staring off into the distance or talking to themselves.
I can’t wait to share the finished product with everyone." The Happiness, The Heartache is a joyful look back at the time when outrageous day time soap operas were king, it's a celebration - we hope you enjoy the party! |
